provided for the Colony, and it is still my hope to arrange

that the site at Caroline Hill may become a recreation

ground for the United Services. But, unless imperial funds

can be made available for this purpose, the project will have to wait until colonial funds can be so appropriated

and it will not be possible for Hong Kong to finance such

a scheme in the near future.
